![]() I needed to do some shopping and happened to pass a Pingo Doce so I decided to try it out. It's one of the largest supermarket chains in Portugal and I noticed that quite a lot of the roads that I will be visiting are close to branches. Of course it mainly appeals to me because I interpret the name as "soft penguin", although apparently it actually means "sweet drop". Despite its appearance, it's a pretty normal supermarket on the inside, except that the placement of products is a bit strange. For example in the first aisle, opposte the fruit, there was wine next to shampoo next to washing liquid.
