 The top picture shows Centralia's old station. Apparently there used to be a passenger rail service from here, on the Chicago to New Orleans line, to Saint Louis, which is on the Chicago to Texas line. That made Centralia quite a busy interchange station. After that service was discontinued the old station was demolished. The space where it used to be is now just empty.
